Keagan French is a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Colorado and the owner of Off-Trail Therapy. He has a Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University. He has worked with at-risk youth of all ages and enjoys building therapeutic rapport with children and teens in a setting outside of the office. In addition to working as a therapist, he has over 10 years of experience in outdoor education including adventure-based counseling, as well as non-therapeutic outdoor facilitation. He holds a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification and believes in the power of outdoor healing.
Keagan spends most of his time outside on his snowboard, bike, kayak, or adventuring off-trail with his wife, daughter, and dog. He loves to travel and views life as an adventure.

Keagan utilizes a person-centered approach, seeing clients for who they are as opposed to a diagnosis. Drawing from his EMDR training, mindfulness-based therapeutic techniques, and Solution Focused Therapy, he provides clients with empowerment, improved decision-making skills, greater ability to self-regulate, and resolution of trauma.
In addition to treatment supported by nature, Keagan and his dog, Moon, work together to provide animal assisted therapy in a non-traditional setting. He can also provide a unique slackline assisted therapy approach by combining his background in social work and his past career as a professional slackliner. Keagan is patient, understanding, and works with clients to add perspective and humor into their lives.
